During the conversation, the foreign ministers exchanged views on the agenda of the Uzbek-Pakistani relations and on the interaction of the parties within the framework of the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international structures, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The parties confirmed their readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation, primarily in trade and economic, investment, transport, communication, tourism, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
As has been stressed the regular contacts between business circles of the two countries allow to optimistically assess the prospects for the development of ties between the leading companies and firms, the banking and financial structures of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The sides noted that the transition of the situation to a peaceful channel in neighboring Afghanistan will allow more active development of regional cooperation. In this context, they also discussed on the forthcoming international Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan “The Peace Process, Security Cooperation and Regional Connectivity”.
At the meeting, the ministers also exchanged views on the schedule of the upcoming Uzbek-Pakistani contacts in 2018 at various levels.
