Uzbek Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Holds Series of Talks with Leading Pakistani Companies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 30 January to 2 February 2026, in Islamabad, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, conducted a series of negotiations with executives of leading Pakistani companies and participated in the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of National Logistics Cell (NLC), Habib Rafiq (Private) Limited, HRL Group, National Fruit, Engro, National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), Fatima Group, Herbion, as well as Diamond Group, Diners, Hub Leather, Siddiq Leather, Royal Leather, and other partners. Following the negotiations, a comprehensive portfolio of joint projects and contracts was formed.

Agreements were reached on the development of an alternative transport corridor “Karachi – Kashgar – Osh – Andijan,” the establishment of joint ventures in the textile industry, and the implementation of projects in geology, pharmaceuticals, and food security.

On 2 February, the 10th session of the Intergovernmental Commission was held, reaffirming the strategic nature of the Uzbek-Pakistani partnership. During the session, agreements were reached to begin fieldwork on the Trans-Afghan Railway and to transition the commission to a new format of regular operation.
