Within the event, the participants received information on reforms in economy, priority directions of investments, development of small and private businesses, preferences provided at special industrial zones Navoi, Jizzakh and Angren.
Latvian businesses familiarized with potential of Uzbekistan in oil and gas, mining, tourism, machinery, construction materials production, agriculture and others.
On the same day, the cooperation exchange with the participation of business circles of Uzbekistan and Latvia was held.
After the forum, Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev and Minister of Transport of Latvia Anrijs Matīss signed a protocol of agreements, reached in the result of bilateral negotiations and joint business forum.
Higher Military Customs Institute of Uzbekistan and Riga Technical University signed a memorandum of cooperation in training of specialists.
Uzkommunhizmat agency and Karme Filtrs signed an agreement on creation of joint venture on production of water cleaning stations and filtration systems.
Uzbekyengilsanoat and Nikol Djumon signed an agreement on creation of joint venture on production of ladies lingerie. Uzbekyengilsanoat and De Fonte Latvia Ltd agreed to create capacities on production of knitted products.
Fund for support of exports of small and private entrepreneurs signed a memorandum of cooperation in promotion of the Uzbek goods with its Latvian partners.
