Uzbek FM receives newly appointed Philippine envoy

Ambassador handed over his credentials, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on issues of developing the Uzbek-Philippine dialogue, some international and regional issues.

It was underlined that both states are interested in lifting bilateral relations to new quality level and give it multipronged level.

The sides affirmed their intention to continue practice of mutual beneficial cooperation within the United Nations and its agencies.

The sides discussed trade-economic and investment cooperation between two states. It was underlined that Uzbekistan and Philippines have real potential to expand ties.

The officials considered other issues of mutual interest.
