Uzbek FM receives new Brazilian envoy

Ambassador handed over his credentials, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on current state and perspectives of development of cooperation in line with agreements, reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Brazil in May 2009.

It was underlined that Uzbekistan and Brazil have significant potential to expand mutual beneficial relations in political, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian and other spheres.

Both sides pay great attention to holding regular Uzbek-Brazilian consultations between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two states, joint forums with participation of business circles of Uzbekistan and Brazil.

The sides discussed actual aspects of cooperation within international and some regional problems.
