According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the Ambassador presented his credentials to Abdulaziz Kamilov.
The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on beginning of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan and wished every success.
During the conversation, which took place after the brief ceremony, proposals for further development of relations were considered.
As noted, Uzbekistan and Brazil, despite their geographical distance, regard each other as promising partners and are interested in full-scale implementation of existing potentials of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment-technological, tourist, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
The sides exchanged views on activation of Uzbek-Brazilian ties, giving them a more systematic character.
In the context of the discussion of international and regional issues, the Brazilian side was informed of the agenda of the international conference on Afghanistan “Peace process, cooperation in the sphere of security and regional cooperation”, which will be held in Tashkent on 26-27 March 2018.
