Uzbek FM receives Executive Secretary of CIS

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the chairperson of the Executive Committee – Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Sergey Lebedev on 27 March 2015.
Sergey Lebedev arrived in Uzbekistan as a head of the CIS observation mission to observe presidential elections, which will be held on 29 March.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Sergey Lebedev informed the Uzbek minister on main points of the interim report of the CIS mission on observation over preparation and organization of the presidential elections in Uzbekistan.
The sides also exchanged opinion on issues of further developing cooperation within the CIS and discussed preparations to next session of the CIS bodies and other events within the organization.
