Uzbek FM holds talks with new Uruguayan Ambassador

Ambassador handed over credentials addressed to the President of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

At the meeting, the sides considered current state and perspectives of development of bilateral relations in various spheres, including in trade-economic and investment.

The sides also discussed issues of interaction of two states within international organizations, including within UN and its agencies.

The officials expressed interest in institualization of relations, which would give the systematic character to Uzbek-Uruguayan relations. The sides said that it is necessary to carry out joint work on agreement-legal base of cooperation.

At the meeting, the sides considered some international and regional issues.
