Uzbek FM holds meeting with head of OSCE/ODIHR mission
The sides considered actual issues of cooperation within preparing and holding presidential elections in Uzbekistan, scheduled for 29 March, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
It was noted that the election campaign entered to active phase and conducted in conditions of democratic reforms and liberalization, political stability and economic development, inter-religious and inter-national peace and consent. Over 9,058 polling stations, including 44 stations at diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad, were formed for voting of people. They have all necessary equipment for voting of people.
The sides exchanged opinion on actual international issues and activities of the OSCE/ODIHR mission in Uzbekistan, which started its work in the country on 23 February.
