Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 October 2019, the Consul of the Republic of Uzbekistan Zafar Abdurakhmanov met with representatives of Uzbekistan Airways and AeroTur, the general agent for the sale of air transportation, at the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss further plans for close cooperation to develop the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, promote its tourism potential in this region and increase the tourist flow to our country.

The consul praised the work of the national air carrier of Uzbekistan and the Russian tour operator in promoting the Uzbek tourist destination and attracting tourist flow to our country, expressed gratitude to the representative of Uzbekistan Airways in St. Petersburg Zafar Saidazimov and the general director of AeroTur Nadejda Koshnenkova for their contribution to organizing and participation in events aimed at strengthening international relations between the two countries, and handed in letters of thanks from the Consulate General.
