Uzbek Authorities Adjust CNG Station Operations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Starting from Monday, 2 February, a new operating schedule for compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations will take effect across Uzbekistan.

According to the Ministry of Energy, methane refueling stations nationwide will operate in a limited mode from 10:00 to 16:00.

For the regions of the Ferghana Valley, a special schedule will be applied. Opening and closing times for CNG stations will be determined individually, taking into account the current pressure in main gas pipelines and in coordination with local hokimiyats. This approach aims to respond promptly to changes in the gas supply system and prevent critical drops in network pressure.

The restrictions do not apply to vehicles performing socially significant functions. Gas supply for special equipment, as well as public transport serving medical institutions, schools, and other social facilities, will remain stable and uninterrupted.

Authorities advise drivers to plan their trips according to the new schedule and refuel vehicles in advance during the designated hours.
