Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UzAuto Motors Asaka plant will suspend production in January 2021 to modernize production facilities. This was reported by the press service of UzAuto Motors.

After effective work with partners from GM, UzAuto Motors officially received a certificate of quality standards BIQ4 (build in quality) and is aimed at obtaining the highest quality level in the GM BIQ NEXT system in the coming years, the company notes.

The company notes that the increase in quality standards will affect all Chevrolet models without exception, for the sake of which the Asaka plant is planned to be suspended in January 2021 to carry out all the necessary modernizations in production.

In parallel with this, the Chevrolet dealer network in all regions of Uzbekistan will switch to new standards.

The changes will concern the re-registration of dealerships in accordance with the new Chevrolet brand book, which is a prerequisite for the continuation of work. Dealers that do not meet the new standards will be terminated dealer contracts.

In the dealer network, the quality of services will be increased, higher standards of warranty service will be introduced, the level of which will grow due to better training of personnel, the introduction of loyalty programs, a survey of customer opinions and much more.

The company also implements SАP (System Analysis and Program Development) software, the functionality of which will allow to organize processes in sales, service and marketing more efficiently.
