Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 26 December 2019, UzAuto Motors broke the record for car production.

Despite the fact that the company’s goal in 2019 was to produce 250 thousand cars, taking into account the great demand of consumers, more than 271 thousand cars were produced. In 2018, this indicator was 220 thousand cars (an increase of 30%).

According to the press service of the company, this goal was achieved thanks to the modernization of technological equipment and the production process in enterprises.

At the same time, as the company notes, in 2020 UzAuto Motors begins preparations for the launch of a project to produce ONIX cars and other new models on a single platform. In 2020, the company will carry out preparatory work to launch the production of cars on the new platform. In this regard, the production process until 6 January 2020 will be temporarily suspended.

Also, in connection with the preparations for the development of the production of new models, in 2020 repeated stoppages of production are planned. Nevertheless, this factor will not affect the volume of production and the schedule of car deliveries.
