Uzatom Delegation Holds Talks in Tatarstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 1 April, a delegation from Uzatom held a series of working meetings in the Republic of Tatarstan as part of its visit to the Kazan International Electric Power Forum “ENERGOPROM,” the agency reported.
The delegation visited the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev, where they toured the university’s history museum and modern laboratories. Special attention was given to developments in composite technologies, materials science, and engineering training. The parties discussed opportunities for establishing joint laboratory facilities and applying innovative materials in high-tech nuclear projects.
Next, the delegation visited Kazan State Power Engineering University. There, they met with university leadership, examined modern classrooms and training facilities for nuclear, thermal, and electrical engineering education. Discussions focused on targeted training of specialists for the nuclear industry, creating joint educational centers, exchanging experience, and building long-term practical cooperation.
The program concluded with a visit to the “Khimgrad” Technopolis, where the delegation was presented with the model of the industrial park, engineering infrastructure, and a one-stop support system for residents. The experience of implementing industrial projects, including ongoing collaborations in Uzbekistan, was also showcased.
Following the visit, both sides emphasized the importance of studying Tatarstan’s best practices in workforce training, industrial cooperation, and technological infrastructure development. Specific areas for further mutually beneficial collaboration in nuclear energy, science, and industry were identified.
