Taleb Rifai arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in an international scientific conference “Central Asian Renaissance in the History of World Civilization” and opening ceremony of an international music festival “Shark Taronalari”, which will be held on 28 August 2017 in Samarkand.

During his visit, Rifai will meet with officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for the Development of Tourism of Uzbekistan.

The UNWTO head will also familiarize himself with the tourist potential of Samarkand, Bukhara region and will visit monuments of historical, cultural and archaeological heritage of the regions.
