Turkish FSM Traktor is interested in investing in production of agricultural machinery in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting with the chairman of the board of FSM Traktor Erdogan Oren was held at the State Investment Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the talks, issues of establishing and further strengthening bilateral cooperation were discussed, including the participation of the Turkish company in implementation in Uzbekistan of joint investment projects in the agricultural machinery industry.

Erdogan Oren announced plans for near future to enter the market of Central Asia and to define the Republic of Uzbekistan as the most promising country in this region, taking into account ongoing reforms, growing economic potential and competitive advantages.

In turn, the management and specialists of the State Investment Committee provided detailed information about the competitive advantages, created conditions for foreign investors in Uzbekistan, benefits and preferences, including in the engineering industry, wages, the cost of engineering communications.

According to the investor, at the first stages of the investment project, on the basis of the study, it is planned to organize the assembly of tractors with a capacity between 75 and 150 horse powers with the subsequent organization of production of small-node assembly and increasing the level of localization of the produced equipment.

Following the talks, an agreement was reached that the foreign side would prepare and submit a project proposal on organization of production in the near future.
