Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Government Resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for border, customs, sanitary-quarantine, phytosanitary control and veterinary supervision at checkpoints across the state border of the Republic of Uzbekistan of persons, vehicles and goods.
According to the Regulation, all persons, vehicles and goods crossing the state border are subject to border, customs, sanitary and quarantine, as well as phytosanitary control and veterinary supervision, if they are subject to phytosanitary control and veterinary supervision.
In order to prevent unnecessary troubles at checkpoints, control procedures by state supervision authorities regarding drivers, goods and vehicles will be carried out through the Single Window customs information system.
The Regulation clearly indicates the time spent by vehicles at checkpoints.
That is, the time spent at the checkpoint of the vehicle, depending on its type and technical condition of the checkpoint, cannot exceed the following period:
- passenger vehicles - 15 minutes;
- freight vehicles - 30 minutes.
At the same time, the time of the vehicle through the appropriate procedures by each state control body at the entrance to Uzbekistan is set as follows:
- sanitary-quarantine control (the driver passes sanitary control) - 3 minutes;
- Border control (checks for the presence of a passport and documents giving the right to cross the State border) - 4 minutes;
- customs control (driver, goods and vehicles undergo customs control and clearance) - 15 minutes;
- phytosanitary control (if the transported goods is an object of phytosanitary control, phytosanitary control is carried out) - 4 minutes;
- veterinary supervision (if the transported goods is subject to veterinary supervision, veterinary supervision is carried out) - 4 minutes.
The Regulation also indicates in which cases the time for passing control procedures may exceed established norms.
In particular, in cases of detection of an offense by state control bodies operating on the territory of a checkpoint, the time required to complete control procedures may exceed established norms.
