The winners of the contest among NGOs, announced by the Public Fund of the Oliy Majlis, were awarded

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Parliamentary Commission on managing the resources of the Public Fund for the Support of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis announced the results of the first and second competitions, which was held among NGOs and the media in 2020.

The regions hosted an awarding ceremony of the winners of two competitions. Advocacy work is underway for the third and fourth grant competitions.

On 9 July, deputies of the Legislative Chamber and members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis handed special certificates to five non-governmental non-profit organizations in the Tashkent region, which became winners. At the same time, an explanation of the third and fourth competitions was held.

In particular, they talked about the third competition for the allocation of state grants on the topic "Education of youth in the spirit of devotion to the Motherland, the formation of its initiative, dedication and spiritual culture under the motto" From national revival to national development ", which is held from 22 June to 25 July 2020. They also spoke about the fourth competition for the allocation of state grants on the topic "Supporting the activity of democratic institutions in ensuring the rule of law" Human interests above all "and public control."

It should be noted that in the grant competitions that were announced in 2020, attention was paid to topics such as the epidemiological situation on a global scale, the relevance of mitigating its negative impact on the economy, ensuring a healthy social, spiritual and medical atmosphere in society and the family, attracting representatives of the public to implement the State Program.

In the period from 15 April to 18 May, 256 projects from 238 civil society institutes were accepted to the first competition for the allocation of state grants on the topic “Increasing the activity of civil society institutions in ensuring a healthy socio-spiritual and medical environment in society and the family”. According to the results of the competition, it was decided to allocate funds in the amount of 2 billion soums for 51 projects.

The second competition for state grants on the topic "Ensuring the active participation of civil society institutions in the implementation of the Strategy of Action, the State program" Year of the Development of Science, Education and the Digital Economy "received 208 projects from 192 civil society institutions. As a result of the competition, it was decided to allocate 2 billion soums to 52 projects.
