The volume of transport services makes up 53.77 trillion soums in 2020

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In 2020, the volume of transport services made up 53.77 trillion soums, which is 24.5% of the total volume of services.

Due to the pandemic, by 2020 there was a decrease in the number of passengers carried by all types of public transport.

In 2020, the passenger turnover on all types of transport in the country amounted to 116.7 billion pass-km, which is 6.7% less than in 2019. Freight turnover amounted to 69.1 billion tonne-km, which is 4.6% less than in the previous period.

At the same time, the volume of cargo transportation in international directions amounted to 46.9 million tons, which is 8.5% more than in 2019.

During 2020, significant work has been done on the formation of a modern road transport infrastructure, reconstruction and construction of new bus stations, the introduction of information and communication technologies in transport.

94 new local ones were opened (In the Republic of Karakalpakstan - 6, Andijan region - 9, Bukhara region - 7, Jizzakh region - 7, Kashkadarya region - 9, Navoi region - 8, Namangan region - 9, Samarkand region - 11, Syrdarya region - 4., in the Surkhandarya region - 6, in the Tashkent region - 3, in the city of Tashkent - 2, in the Fergana region - 7, in the Khorezm region - 6) and 6 international (Tashkent - Moscow, Tashkent - Omsk, Samarkand - Tashkent - Petersburg , Tashkent - Yekaterinburg, Tashkent - Perm, Tashkent - Ufa) bus routes for passenger traffic.

The construction of 7 bus stations (Bukhara, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Tashkent, Fergana and Khorezm regions) and reconstruction of 2 bus stations (Andijan and Bukhara regions) have been completed.
