Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Discussion of the project for digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) of Uzbekistan took place on 11 February 2021 during a meeting of the country's Energy Minister Alisher Sultanov with the leadership of the multidisciplinary IT group ICS Holding (Russia).
As noted in the welcoming speech of the head of the Ministry of Energy, one of the most important conditions for the development of modern Uzbekistan is the economic stability of the country, which to a large extent depends on the development of energy and the achievement of energy security.
One of the most important tasks of the Ministry of Energy is the development and implementation of a unified state policy in the fuel and energy sector of Uzbekistan and the digitalization of the fuel and energy complex is an important link in this policy.
Currently, in order to develop digitalization of the fuel and energy complex, a number of activities are being carried out, including:
- The process of implementation of the Fuel and Energy Supply Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2020-2030 and a comprehensive program for digitalization of the electric power industry for 2019-2021, which will be aimed at automating enterprise resource planning (ERP) and dispatch control and data collection (SCADA) processes, is underway.
- The project is being implemented at an accelerated pace in the country - "Implementation of an automated system for accounting and control of electricity (ASKUE)". By the end of 2020, about 5.5 million consumers were connected to the Automated Electricity Control and Metering System.
- A similar system - ASKUG is being implemented for automated accounting and control of natural gas consumption.
These and other ongoing activities are only the beginning of the fuel and energy complex digitalization process, in which there are still many tasks to be solved. For this purpose, the leading international companies are attracted, distinguished by the skills of deep industry expertise and understanding of world trends.
One of these key partners is IKS Holding, an experienced company operating in the digitalization market of large industrial enterprises, with which an agreement was signed in December 2020 for the provision of services for the development of the Concept and Roadmap for the digitalization of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the period 2021- 2025.
The tasks of this Russian company include the analysis of the best world automation practices and the possibility of their applicability to the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of Uzbekistan, the development of an operational model for digitalization of the fuel and energy complex.
