Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Investment projects are gradually being implemented in the subdivisions of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NGMK), work is underway to increase capacity and modernize enterprises. Increasing the capacity of Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7 is one such project.

As a result of the early commissioning of mills No. 1,2 within the first stage of this project, the enterprise exceeded the ore processing plan for the past period of the current year. This was reported by the press center of the NGMK.

On the basis of modern technologies, GMZ-7 produces products from processed (technogenic) ores and ensures production efficiency. The difference between the plant and other hydrometallurgical plants of the plant is that, thanks to the technologies used here, it is possible to process and obtain products from processed ore.

The production of products from industrial waste at the enterprise fully complies with all environmental requirements. Most importantly, only locally produced chemicals are used in the processing process. This leads to an increase in the domestic market, a decrease in production costs.

4 Caterpillar loaders and bulldozers are used to provide raw materials for Hydrometallurgical Plant No. 7. Today, each of the two mills used at the plant processes an average of 250 to 280 tons of ore per hour. At the second and third stages of the plant, it is planned to increase the number of such mills to four. When the plant is launched at full capacity, it will process 15 million tons of industrial waste per year, which will create more than a thousand new jobs.

Work has already begun to provide the new plant with young qualified personnel. The selected specialists underwent retraining at training centers in a short time, improved their qualifications in the production sphere. Currently 480 young specialists have started their work.
