Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Regulation on monitoring in the field of plant quarantine and the implementation of phytosanitary field control was approved by the Government resolution.

According to the Regulation, the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate under the Cabinet of Ministers (Inspectorate) is an authorized state body for maintaining and exercising leadership over a unified system for identifying, monitoring, analyzing and predicting the spread of plant quarantine objects.

Monitoring in this area is carried out on an ongoing basis by the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorates of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent (territorial inspections).

Territorial inspectorates draw up quarterly plans every quarter, which are approved by the Inspectorate based on monitoring results.

Based on this, the state plant quarantine inspector identifies plant quarantine objects and other harmful organisms for Uzbekistan using field control.

Within a day after the implementation of phytosanitary field control, an act of results is drawn up and the necessary measures are determined.

According to the resolution, the regulated products imported back (re-import) to the territory of Uzbekistan before 1 March 2021 undergo quarantine inspection on the basis of a phytosanitary certificate.
