Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The President’s resolution “On measures to further improve the management system of the road industry” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution “On measures to further improve the management system of the road industry”, from 1 January 2020:

- Monitoring compliance with the weight and size parameters of heavy and bulky vehicles, levying fees for movement on roads and issuing permits for their movement is carried out by the Committee on Roads (Committee);

- Installation of technical means of traffic regulation and their structures, including technical means of photo and video fixation, is carried out in agreement with the Committee;

- it is prohibited to design and lay out new networks of engineering communications of a longitudinal arrangement under the carriageways of highways, with the exception of their transverse intersection with highways.

According to the resolution, the construction of outdoor advertising facilities (structures) on land plots and structures located in the right of way of public roads is carried out on the basis of the permission of the Committee.

Also, the placement and construction of production facilities, the provision of services, trade, services, as well as other facilities for entrepreneurial activity on land in the roadside lane of roads are carried out in agreement with the Committee.

In accordance with the resolution, a government decision will be made before December 31, 2019, approving the procedure for calculating km-by-hour or time-based calculation and collection of fees for the passage of foreign freight vehicles on the roads of the republic.
