In order to further strengthen the role of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, political parties in deepening democratic reforms and modernizing the country, the deputies considered a bill proposing amendments to the Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Rules of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On the Rules of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan "And" On parliamentary control. "

The document envisages the introduction of a hearing mechanism at meetings of the Legislative Chamber and Senate of the Oliy Majlis of heads of state bodies and economic management bodies (so far only members of the government could have heard at meetings of the chambers). Based on the results of the hearings, it is planned to send him the decisions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis.

During the development of the draft law, deputies studied international experience. In their opinion, the amendments to the document will serve to further expand the powers of the Oliy Majlis in the exercise of parliamentary control over the activities of state bodies, significantly strengthen the role and place of parliament in ensuring the effective implementation of legislation.
