Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The information about the release of Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov from the post of general director of the Uzatom Agency, which is posted on the website of the newspaper Khalq Sozi, is untrue. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Today, on 5 November 2020, the official website of the Narodnoye Slovo newspaper and a number of other news channels disseminated inaccurate information about the dismissal of the general director of the Uzatom Agency, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, from this position.

According to the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No.PP-4876, adopted on 3 November 2020, the position of the first deputy minister of energy - general director of the Uzatom Agency was abolished in the Ministry of Energy, which was approved in accordance with paragraph 2 of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to organize the activities of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic Uzbekistan".

In accordance with this, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov currently does not combine these two positions, but continues to work as the General Director of the Uzatom Agency.

Also Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov is the Chairman of the Management Board of Uzkimyosanoat JSC.
