Tashkent (UzDaily.com) — The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will arrive in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 28 January, offering football fans a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the world’s most prestigious football trophy ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™. This marks the sixth time that Coca-Cola, in partnership with FIFA, has brought the Trophy on a global tour, giving hundreds of thousands of fans around the world the chance to see the authentic FIFA World Cup Trophy in person.

Tashkent will be one of the key stops on the global route. The event carries special significance in light of a historic achievement by the national team, as Uzbekistan has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ for the first time ever, a milestone moment for Uzbek football and millions of supporters across the country. In Tashkent, the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola is being organized with the support of the Uzbekistan Football Association.

Across five tours, this iconic trophy has visited 182 of our 211 member associations, and the current tour is especially meaningful as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Trophy Tour while preparing for the largest FIFA World Cup in history, to be hosted across three countries: Canada, Mexico and the United States.”

The official launch of the Trophy Tour took place on 3 January 2026 in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Following the opening ceremony, the Trophy embarked on a journey to 30 FIFA member countries. In 2026, the tour takes on added significance, marking exactly 20 years since the first Trophy Tour was held. Over this period, more than four million fans from over 182 countries have become part of a unique football experience that unites different cultures and generations through a shared love of the game.

Fans also have the chance to win a ticket to see the FIFA World Cup Trophy in Tashkent. To take part, participants need to purchase a one- or one-and-a-half-liter bottle of Coca-Cola, Fanta or Sprite, find the code under the cap and enter it in the Telegram bot @uzcocacolabot. Additional surprises await participants, including the chance to win a trip to the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

The original FIFA World Cup Trophy is awarded to the winners of the FIFA World Cup but remains the property of FIFA. Made of solid gold, it weighs 6.175 kilograms and was created in 1974. The design depicts two human figures holding up the Earth. Touching the original Trophy is permitted only for a limited group of individuals, including former world champions, heads of state and the FIFA President. While the winning team is initially presented with the original Trophy, it later receives a permanent FIFA World Cup Winners’ Trophy made of gold-plated metal.
