The National Chamber with the support of Turkey will hand over 5,000 protective kits to doctors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with the Turkish side completed a joint project to organize 5,000 sets of personal protective equipment for doctors in our country. This was reported by the press service of the National Chamber of Innovative Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In this difficult time of the fight against coronavirus infection, the National Chamber carries out a number of actions together with various partners, sponsors, and philanthropists.

This time, the initiative of the National Chamber was provided by the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination of TIKA.

The ceremony of presenting 5 thousand sets of personal protective equipment, which includes protective overalls, glasses, masks, gloves, shoe covers, was attended by the heads of the Turkish Embassy and the Representative Office of TIKA.

According to the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Uzbekistan Mehmet Sureya Er, currently two friendly countries have reached the level of strategic partnership. This, in particular, is reflected in the mutual support of Turkey and Uzbekistan in these difficult days of the fight against coronavirus infection.

“The COVID-19 pandemic poses a real threat throughout the world. And the only way to fight is to counter the spread of coronavirus infection shoulder to shoulder, demonstrating our close cooperation,” said the head of the diplomatic mission.

The Turkish Ambassador noted the high level and timeliness of the measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan to curb the spread of the disease, which is associated with the country's success in this direction. He also noted the fruitful start of cooperation with the National Chamber of Innovative Health and a great interest in its continuation.

The significant experience of Turkey in combating the pandemic was noted in his speech by the Chairman of the National Chamber Rovshan Izamov. He emphasized how actively the Turkish side responded to the proposal to support the organization of such a significant number of sets of medical protective equipment.

“We all know that today it is personal protective equipment that is the greatest need to protect healthcare professionals from coronavirus infection. This is care for them, as people, and as specialists who are at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. It depends on them how effectively the treatment of sick people, and even the saving of people's lives, will be carried out,” Izamov said.

In turn, the head of the TIKA Representative Office in Uzbekistan Cemalettin Tuney noted that the community of two countries is developing and gaining strength in this difficult time.

“By participating in this initiative of the National Chamber, TIKA contributes to the fight against COVID-19, helping today's heroes - doctors, all medical workers of Uzbekistan,” he emphasized.

After the ceremony of signing documents on the transfer of humanitarian cargo, a thorough discussion was held between the parties about the possibilities for further cooperation.
