Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The largest and most respected Middle and Middle East news agency MENA and the Egyptian newspaper Al-Dustur, as well as other Arab media outlets, have devoted the materials published on their pages to Uzbekistan’s experience in ensuring and maintaining peace and harmony in the country, Dunyo reported.

The article notes that in our republic all the opportunities have been created to preserve the identity and culture of more than 130 nations and nationalities living on its territory.

The publications state that “in accordance with the Basic Law of the country, all citizens, regardless of their nationality, language and religious affiliation, enjoy equal rights and freedoms. They are given every opportunity to preserve and comprehensively develop their traditions, customs and culture. Religious organizations of 16 faiths freely operate in Uzbekistan. ”

It was reported that in our country also operates more than 140 national cultural centers that contribute to the popularization of spiritual enrichment and the strengthening of international peace and harmony. They contribute to the strengthening of interethnic harmony and the development of cooperation with foreign countries.

Particular attention was paid to the representatives of the small people - gypsies, who are considered equal citizens of the republic. It is emphasized that such a respectful attitude towards this ethnic group does not exist in any other country.

The publications state that 150 billion soums were allocated from the state budget of Uzbekistan for the creation of one of the modern villages and the development of related infrastructure for Roma.

The article also noted the activities of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic, which coordinates issues related to supporting and providing comprehensive assistance to all nations and nationalities living in Uzbekistan.
