Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Economy and Industry, the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, the State Committee for Veterinary and Livestock Development and the Uzbekbaliksanoat Association are holding of the I International Exhibition and Fair for the Development of the Fish Industry “Uzbekistan fisheries and innovative technologies for growing fish Expo 2019. ” The exhibition will be held from 18 to 22 November at the NEC “Uzexpocenter”.

One of the key strategic steps in the development of fishing and fish farming was the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 2939 dated 1 May 2017 “On measures to improve the management system of the fishing industry”, in accordance with which the Uzbekbaliksanoat Association was created. The main objectives and activities of the organization are to increase the volume of fish growing due to the widespread introduction of modern intensive technologies, improve the reproduction of fish seed, strengthen the food supply and organize fish processing.

Commenting on the event, the Chairman of the Uzbekbaliksanoat Association Omon Musaev noted: “Over the two and a half years of work, the Association managed to achieve positive results. Thanks to the Decree of the President, it would not be an exaggeration to call the development of the fish farming industry truly rapid. The forecasted increase in fish catch in Uzbekistan this year will be more than 200 thousand tons. This is a serious step towards fulfilling the President’s order to satisfy the population’s needs for fish products through comprehensive measures. Of course, such results would be difficult to achieve without painstaking labor and dedication directly to the farms involved in the industry. I think that these tangible results served as an impetus for the organization of a regular industry exhibition, to which we invite both interested companies and experts, and potential partners. ”

The exhibition presents innovative technologies and techniques for intensive fish farming, advanced equipment for processing and storage of fish products, production of high-protein feed, installation of closed water supply, production of aerators, oxygen generators and much more. It is also planned to hold bilateral meetings and a round table on the investment prospects of the fishing industry with the participation of foreign guests.

Invitations to participate in the International Exhibition-Fair were sent to 83 large foreign companies from more than 20 countries. Despite the fact that during its work, Uzbekbaliksanoat has established close cooperation with such leaders of the world fishing industry as Hungary, Vietnam, Germany, Indonesia, China, Russia and Finland, the number of fish farms in our country has increased from 3606 to 3926, so the upcoming the exhibition promises to be a large-scale event of the autumn exhibition season.

The Uzbekbaliksanoat Association was established in 2017. It consists of 13 Baliksanoat regional enterprises. Among the objectives of the association are the creation of an organizational and technological chain of production of fish products, the reproduction of fish stock and the strengthening of the food supply, the rational use of the resources of natural reservoirs and artificial ponds.
