Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, for 9 months of 2020, the gross domestic product of Uzbekistan increased by 0.4%, compared to the same period of last year (for 9 months of 2019 - by 5.9%).
In the current period, the share of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in GDP growth was the highest. The volume of production in this sector increased by 3.4%, providing GDP growth by 0.8 percentage points.
While the growth rate of construction increased by 8.6%, its contribution to GDP growth was 0.5 percentage points.
In industry, there was a decrease in GDP by 0.7 percentage points due to a decrease in production by 2.7%.
Also, a 0.7% decline in the service sector had a negative impact on GDP growth by -0.2 percentage points.
A 0.6% decrease in net taxes on food did not have a significant negative impact on GDP growth and amounted to -0.04 percentage points.
