Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 March, a meeting of the 1st Business Circle was held at the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Business Council - Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan A. I. Makrousov, First Vice-President of Formica Group of Companies, Head of the Representative Office of Russian Export Center JSC, Head of the RosATom Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Technical Director of Unitel LLC ", Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, representatives of departments, as well as representatives of the Uztekstilprom Association.
During the videoconferencing, a presentation was made of the 1st Business Council between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The main goal of the Business Council is comprehensive support and assistance to both Uzbek and Russian entrepreneurs in expanding trade, economic, educational, investment and institutional cooperation.
The priority areas of cooperation between our countries were also identified. The parties agreed to hold meetings once every quarter in order to discuss existing problems, tasks for expanding industry and mutual cooperation, as well as investment opportunities and proposals.
It should be reminded that Russia remains the largest sales market for Uzbek textiles. According to the results of January-February 2021, products of domestic textile manufacturers were exported to Russia in the amount of US$137.4 million, of which 42% are finished garment and knitted products.
