Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva visited Shumanai, Khodjeyli and Takhiatash districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, got acquainted with the progress of the implementation of orders given during the visit of the head of state to Aral Sea region, and the work carried out on the execution of protocol orders extended meeting.

The project worth US$21 million was launched in March 2020. Modern equipment was brought here from Switzerland, Japan and Turkey, thanks to which 480 new jobs were created. To date, 4.5 thousand tons of products have been exported to Pakistan, the People’s Republic of China and Turkey.
The commissioning of this enterprise has provided employment for many women. One of them is Saltanat Bekniyazova, a resident of the gathering of citizens of the Dekhkanabad aul.
“In 2013, I graduated from the Kungrad Chemical-Technological College,” says S. Bekniyazova. - Today I work in my specialty and operate modern equipment. A special vehicle has been allocated for the delivery of workers to the place of work and back. Workers are provided with overalls and hot meals.

After that, the Chairperson of the Upper House of Parliament visited the RANN-OMAD Limited Liability Company located in the area. It should be noted that a loan of 4.3 billion soums was allocated to this enterprise to launch a project to build a modern greenhouse for 1 hectare. The modern equipment was supplied by the South Korean firm "Myung Sung Placon" LTD on the basis of a contract with a loan of US$500,000.
This project was fully commissioned in January 2019, 30 new jobs were created. The greenhouse grows 120 tons of cucumbers per year and the domestic market is supplied with products. In the future, it is planned to expand the project and bring the occupied area to 5 hectares. The President of the Senate talked with the women and asked about their problems.
In addition, a young entrepreneur, Shakhribonu Yusupbaeva, received a preferential loan of 25 million soums in 2019 and created a workshop for the production of national and modern clothes. In order to further expand its activities, this year it took a preferential loan in the amount of 200 million soums and organized a limited liability company "Shumanai-Shamenai". The company, which specializes in tailoring and functions as a beauty salon, currently employs 13 women with permanent jobs.
And during the quarantine period, work did not stop, the enterprise carried out its activities in accordance with the quarantine rules. In addition, by the end of the year, it is planned to provide permanent jobs for another 13 local residents, as well as train 65 women who are included in the "iron notebook" and who are currently unemployed.
Then the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan T. Narbaeva met with the heads of the sectors and activists of the region.
During the event, it was talked about the implementation of tasks for the development of each city and region, including Shumanai district, improvement of the population’s life, which were identified at a video conference meeting held on 10 November, chaired by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and dedicated to the socio-economic development of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and also at the extraordinary session of the Jogargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, held on 2 October.
It was noted that to organize and control this work in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, a new Committee was created for the development of the Aral Sea region, improving life and increasing the income of its population.
