Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 December 2020, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Adham Ikramov and the director of the KOICA office in Uzbekistan, Ms. Park Sunjin.

Within the framework of the meeting, the heads of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the KOICA Office in Tashkent discussed the launch of the project "Assistance in the development of the business incubation system in Uzbekistan" with a budget of US$5.5 million.

The project is aimed at developing a system for providing comprehensive assistance to beginning entrepreneurs in the implementation of their business ideas and projects, taking into account the advanced Korean experience.

Within the framework of this project, it is planned to attract Korean experts, together with whom, over the course of 4 years, work will be organized in the following areas:

- creation of an exemplary business incubator in Tashkent, in which novice entrepreneurs will be able to receive practical assistance in the implementation of their business ideas from qualified specialists;

- preparation of proposals for improving the regulatory framework in the field of supporting start-up entrepreneurs, stimulating the development of their activities, as well as developing the ecosystem of innovative business in Uzbekistan as a whole;

- providing assistance in institutional development to organizations (projects) whose activities are aimed at stimulating the development of youth entrepreneurship;

- advanced training of personnel of departments and organizations involved in the development of youth and innovative business, by organizing educational internships for them in the Republic of Korea;

- creation of an integrated information system containing all the information necessary for starting entrepreneurs on the issues of starting and running a business.
