The Center for Interdisciplinary Cooperation opens

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Cooperation LAB Center for the Development of Intersectoral Cooperation in Bektemir district.

Today, such enterprises as UzAuto Motors, SamAuto, JV MAN Auto - Uzbekistan, General Motors Powertrain Uzbekistan produce modern vehicles and components for them. However, many parts are imported from abroad. Measures are being taken to master the production of new spare parts based on an analysis of the market situation and the demand of industrial enterprises.

For this purpose, on the initiative of the Uzavtosanoat joint-stock company, the Cooperation LAB Center for the Development of Interbranch Cooperation was established in the Bektemir region.

The US$2 million project provided jobs for 50 people. The main goal is to develop inter-industry cooperation in the automotive industry, reduce imports and increase the level of localization according to the principle “from idea to counter”.

The permanent exhibition pavilion of the center will display samples of components, raw materials and consumables imported by Uzavtosanoat and other companies for the country's automotive market. Here you can also get acquainted with the volumes and potential directions of production at domestic enterprises, get samples for localization in Uzbekistan. The widespread use of local raw materials and production resources will contribute to the production of competitive products and a reduction in the import of components.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentations on cooperation at the center. The importance of attracting qualified designers and scientists, mastering new equipment and delivering it on a custom basis was emphasized.

Cooperation LAB has significant potential for expanding cooperation in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. The center will support entrepreneurs with engineering, technical solutions and in the search for markets.

The khokims of the regions were instructed to form groups of entrepreneurs and develop, together with the center, new project proposals for industrial cooperation.

The necessity of establishing cooperation with commercial banks for financing the proposals developed in the center through the "project factory" was noted.
