Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of the People’s Republic of China has approved, at the request of the Ministry of Investment of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the allocation of grant funds for the implementation of the project "Modernization of laboratories of the State Plant Quarantine Inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
The project envisages the modernization and technical equipment of the laboratories of the State Plant Quarantine Inspection in Andijan, Namangan and Tashkent regions, as well as training their employees in modern laboratory and analytical techniques.
The project stipulates the purchase of laboratory equipment at the expense of grants from the Government of the PRC in the amount of US$2.9 million.
Modernization of the material and technical base of laboratories will improve the accuracy of diagnostic studies and the effectiveness of measures to prevent diseases of agricultural crops. Along with this, due to the introduction of the latest developments and express methods, a higher efficiency in obtaining the results of analyzes and examinations will be ensured, which will minimize the time required for issuing the relevant certificates for vehicles with regulated products.
Currently, work is underway to select the necessary equipment, prepare the relevant technical documentation and discuss the technical parameters and conditions for the delivery of goods. After the procurement for the installation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, a visit of Chinese specialists to Uzbekistan will be organized.
