Tashkent hosts traditional festival “Jurnalistlar Bahori”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A traditional festival “Jurnalistlar Bahori” (Spring of Journalists) will be held in Tashkent on 11 May within the media days, which were organized by the National Association of Electronic Mass Media (NAESMI), Parliamentary Commission on management of funds of the Public Foundation on support of NGOs and other civil society under Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan.

The goal of the festival is to promote national traditions and customs, culture of various regions of Uzbekistan, encourage employees of the regional TV and radio stations. The festival included contest of social media products and national cuisines and costumes.

Within the festival, it is planned to award the winners of the first stage of the TV songs contest “Mening yurtim – Mening fahrim!”, organized by NAESMI and TV channel Mening Yurtim in cooperation with the Center for youth culture and art, Civil Youth Movement Kamolot and Uzbeknavo.

The project is aimed at promoting love to Motherland, respect to elder people, popularize compositions and clips about the Motherlands. The concert programme was translated across Uzbekistan.

Within the presentations and tasting, the jury will award the winners on various nominations of the festival.
