Tashkent hosts roundtable on strengthening private property

Representatives of Cabinet of Ministry, Supreme Court, Supreme Economic Court, Prosecutor-General’s Office, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, state bodies and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

The roundtable was organized to discuss draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments, as well as abolishment of some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with further strengthening private property”, which is prepared to the second reading.

The draft law is directed at strengthening guarantees of rights of private property. The document strengthens protection of private property and guarantees for private entrepreneurship, responsibility of officials for illegal seizure of private property.

Legislative Chamber passed the draft law in the first reading and currently is prepared for the second reading. The working group was created to improve the document based on received proposals and recommendations.

At the event, the participants and experts gave their recommendations on further improving the draft law.
