Tashkent discusses expansion of localization of goods production

The event was held at Vesta Electric and attended by MPs of the Legislative Chamber, entrepreneurs and mass media, the press service of the Legislative Chamber said.

Localization of ready products play important role in developing economy and decreasing its dependency from external factors, as well as speeding up introduction of new technologies to production process. Uzbekistan pays great attention to the localization of production with use of local raw materials and production of competitive goods.

In 2010-2014, Uzbekistan produced goods for 46 trillion soums thanks to implementation of projects on production of ready goods, spare parts and materials. The production of local localized goods rose 2.3 times during the reporting period.

The participant of the roundtable discussed activities of some enterprises, which produce localized products. The participants also considered providing preferences to producers of localized goods.

According to the participants, the deepening localization of production of ready goods, spare parts and materials, as well as expansion of inter-industrial industrial cooperation in Uzbekistan have systematic and gradual character.

At the event, the participants considered proposals on further improving legal base for localization of production of goods in Uzbekistan.
