Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A record number of sumalak festive dishes, weighing 7 tonnes, is cooked in Tashkent Central Park.
For the preparation of traditional dishes use 1.25 tonnes of wheat and 4 tonnes of flour, in the cooking process involved 80 cooks, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.
National treats are prepared for charity purposes. On 30 March, the finished dish will be distributed between Mehribonlik houses, Mercy Houses, as well as residents and guests of the capital.
The event is organized by the State Tourism Development Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan, and the Tashkent City Khokimiyat together with Coca Cola.
