Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Syrdarya thermal power plant is the largest electricity producer in Central Asia. The installed capacity of the station today is 3,165 MW.

In accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for the phased modernization of power units of the Syrdarya TPP” from 29 December 2017, the Russian company Power Machines OJSC will modernize the ninth and tenth power units at the Syrdarya TPP this year.

Recently, the third stage of modernization was launched. It is attended by representatives of the Russian company OJSC Power Machines and leading specialists of the station.

The modernization of the power units will increase the efficiency of power units, the capacity of each of them will be increased to 325 MW, the equivalent fuel per 1 kW / h will be reduced by 40 grams, and up to 180 million m3 of natural gas will be saved per year.

“In 2019-2020, modernization was successfully carried out at the third, fourth, fifth and sixth power units,” says Aleksey Terentyev, head of the Power Machines working group on modernization of generators. - The modernization of the next two power units will be fully completed in November this year and the power units will be fully commissioned.
