Sugar plant to be constructed in Jizzakh

This hydro construction will make it possible to provide 20,000 hectares of unused land with water, expand cultivated areas where it will be possible to grow export and industrial crops and receive high income.

We plan to grow and process sugar beets here, build a sugar factory, which is very important for ensuring the sugar independence of our country.

Waste processing can be used as feed, which will serve the development of livestock, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Here, the presentation of irrigation and land reclamation works in Jizzakh region for 2018-2019, hydro projects was held. Uzbekhydroenergo presented investment projects for construction and modernization of micro HPPs in Zaamin and Zafarabad regions.

The head of our state instructed the responsible persons to ensure the high-quality execution of these construction works, to provide the necessary financial and organizational assistance.
