The Ambassador said that relations between countries have developed, which all countries of the world community can envy. "We became very close friends," he added.
The diplomat noted that the November visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to South Korea created a solid base for close cooperation and brought bilateral relations to a higher level of development.
He recalled that following the visit, Uzbekistan and Korea signed documents worth US$10 billion. The two sides reached an agreement on cooperation in such areas as energy and resources, trade, investment, finance.
According to him, the countries expand the framework of cooperation for further strengthening of bilateral relations. There was a strong friendship and trust between the heads of the countries, he said.
"I think that in the near future, President Moon Jae-in will also visit Uzbekistan," said Kwon Yongwoo.
