Simplified border crossing procedure introduced at “Oybek” post

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Residents of the border areas of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan received the right to visit the neighboring republic without a visa through an international border and customs post “Oybek”.

According to the program “Akhborot 24” of the TV channel “Uzbekistan 24”, a simplified system of border crossing was introduced from 10 February 2017.

The program said that residents of the cities of Angren and Bekabad, as well as Bekabad, Pskent, Akhangaran and Bukinsky districts of Tashkent region will be able to visit Tajikistan without visas for up to five days.

In turn, residents of Babajan Gafurov, Mastchoh and Asht districts of Sughd region of Tajikistan can stay in Uzbekistan without visas for five days.
