Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives President of TIKA

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that the state visit to Turkey on 25-26 October 2017 brought relations between two countries to the level of strategic partnership.

The implementation of joint programs with the Turkish partners in the spheres of trade, industry, investment, transport, tourism, medical, educational and others was positively assessed.

The sided underlined importance of further expanding the activities of TIKA in Uzbekistan and bringing it to a new level.

In Uzbekistan, the agency has already implemented about 700 grant projects for US$23.6 million. The sides noted need to identify promising areas of cooperation and developing TIKA activities in Uzbekistan.

The sides underlined importance of development and implementation of the road map. The parties reached agreement on increasing number projects and programmes, realized in the sphere of economy, culture, education, health, environmental protections, tourism and other areas.

The President of TIKA expressed sincere gratitude to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for warm welcome and conveyed the best wishes of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim.

Serdar Cam expressed his full support for proposals and initiatives put forward by the Uzbek President, as well as the readiness of the Turkish side to exert maximum efforts for their timely and effective implementation.
