Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Engineers, designers are the "heart" of enterprises

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the products manufactured by the limited liability company Metal Processing in Bektemir district.

The project, worth almost 34 billion soums, is important in the localization and import substitution of metal products.

Textile manufacturing technologies tend to change every five years. In addition, equipment wears out or becomes obsolete. In the old days, even simple parts were imported from abroad.

Metal Processing Ltd. manufactures casings and spare parts for machine tools for textile companies. To date, cooperation has been established with 12 large textile complexes of Uzbekistan.

“For many years others have benefited from our hard-earned cotton. Recently, the level of its processing in our country has increased significantly. Textile clusters have appeared. They are based on cotton processing. And for this we need modern equipment and service,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The company employs 85 specialists. In cooperation with the Swiss company SkillSonics International AG, international metalworking standards have been introduced here.

- The "heart" of such enterprises are engineers and designers. Unfortunately, many of our factories do not have such a “heart”. We must find and support smart specialists who will make a great contribution to localization, the President emphasized.

The need was noted for opening departments of departments of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry at the enterprise, increasing the practical component in personnel training. Instructions were given on expanding the portfolio of orders based on cooperation, increasing the profitability of the enterprise.
