Senate ratifies textile protocol with EU

Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan ratified the inclusion of the "textile protocol" to the agreement on partnership and cooperation between the EU and Uzbekistan.
This document will make it possible to introduce the most-favored-nation treatment for textiles from Uzbekistan.
The document is aimed at reducing duties on import of textiles from Uzbekistan, which will facilitate the trade in cotton and textile products between Uzbekistan and the EU.
The protocol also provides customs privileges for the processing and supply and transit of Uzbek textile products to the EU countries.
