Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Decree “On Measures for the Further Efficiency of the Use of Land Resources and State Property” was adopted.

In accordance with the Decree, starting from 1 November 2020, the following benefits established by the Tax Code are canceled:

for land tax in relation to land plots occupied by:

- places of health and relaxation, in particular holiday homes;

- places of mass recreation for the population and tourism, if they are allocated for entrepreneurial activity;

- spa facilities, if they are located in tourist areas;

- on property tax in respect of real estate used to provide spa services, if they are located in tourist areas.

Jokargi Kenes of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Kengashs of people’s deputies of regions are authorized to apply reduced rates of property tax and land tax in respect of lands occupied by individual sanatorium-resort facilities in tourist areas, or to exempt from payment of these taxes.

Until 1 September 2020, proposals will be developed on the implementation of departmental rest houses, boarding houses, sanatoriums and other facilities (with the exception of children’s recreation camps) owned by budgetary organizations and state enterprises, as well as legal entities, located in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region to the private sector, state share in the authorized capital (capital) of which is 50 percent or more.

Also, in the preparation of the draft State Budget for 2021, it will be possible to establish on a local level increased rates of land tax rates up to 3 times the rate of land tax in relation to individual land plots, including land plots used by individuals with an area of over 1 hectare, located in the tourist areas of the republic.
