Samarkand Automobile Plant marks 19 years of its activities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 March, the Samarkand Automobile Plant celebrated its 19th anniversary. The SamAvto factory, opened in 1999, is one of the largest enterprises in Uzbekistan with a full production cycle from metal cutting to testing of finished products. The production complex is equipped with machine tools from Germany, Italy and Japan.

Designers of SamAvto, not only design the body of trucks, but also develop new models of buses. In particular, the designers of the plant designed a low-floor city bus LE60, designed to meet the needs of low-mobility citizens, and the HD50 bus, focused on suburban and intercity transportation. Now all products meet the requirements of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, and two buses have been approved by the Customs Union.

The application of the technology of cataphoretic priming allows 8 times to increase the resistance of bodies to corrosion, which makes the products of the Samarkand Automobile Plant suitable for operation in the harsh climatic conditions of Russia and Kazakhstan.

"In the near future, we plan to launch serial production buses that run on gas - more economical and environmentally friendly fuels, as well as update the range of trucks complying with Euro 3, 4 and 5 standards. This will allow exporting to the countries of the Customs Union not only buses, but also trucks, " the general director of SamAuto Ulmas Yuldashev said.

SamAuto personnel regularly undergo advanced training in their own training center in Samarkand and abroad. For the sale of cars, maintenance and repair, the supply of spare parts, an extensive dealer network was established, consisting of 21 dealerships in Tashkent and the regions.
