Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 17 to 20 November 2020, the "Green Week" will be held at the Samara agricultural park as part of the Made in Uzbekistan project. The opening ceremony will be attended by the Governor of the Samara Region Dmitry Azarov and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirzhon Asadov.
Guests of the Green Week will get acquainted with the culture of Uzbekistan, taste traditional dishes - samsa and pilaf, learn how the agricultural and food industries of the country are changing and developing today: the agricultural park will display the products of producers of vegetables, fruits, jams, dried fruits, nuts, confectionery, wine, juices, fish and more. The entrance for visitors will be free.
Business events will be held for four days as part of the Green Week: panel discussions on exports, modern technologies in production, meetings of Uzbek manufacturers with Russian entrepreneurs and other events. Representatives of the Samara agricultural park, the Solidarity and Asia-Invest Bank banks, the Association of Food Sector Organizations (ASORPS), the Russian Export Center agency, the Russian Railways Logistics and GLONASS companies, the public organization Business Russia ”, Consul General of Uzbekistan in Kazan Fariddin Nasriev, Uzbek businessmen and many others.
“Uzbekistan is actively developing economic relations with other countries, new directions appear in production, the export potential is increasing, the number of tourists who visit Samarkand, Bukhara, Tashkent and other historical places is growing. And we want Russians to get to know our country better, to find out how we live. At Green Week, visitors will see what we produce, get acquainted with our products, and entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to communicate with potential suppliers and discuss cooperation,” said Ulugbek Muradov, director of the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
“On 11 September, ASORPS, Asia-Invest Bank and the Samara regional branch of the all-Russian public organization Delovaya Rossiya signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation. One of the pilot cooperation projects will be the launch of refrigerated containers with fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Russia. It is assumed that the train will consist of 5 to 10 refrigerated containers with a total volume of 100-200 tons. After the successful launch of the project, such flights are planned to be made regular: at least 1 time per week. This will allow us to supply fresh vegetables and fruits from the farms of Uzbekistan, observing the temperature regime and maintaining the quality of products,” said Mikhail Sinev, President of the Association of Food Sector Organizations.
"Green Week" in Samara will become part of the Made in Uzbekistan project, within the framework of which the event will also be held in Kazan in December. The organizer is the Export Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Agropark "Samara" is the first food market in the region and the largest wholesale and retail center of the Volga region, where fresh farm products from all over Russia are presented - from vegetables and cheeses to meat and fish. Cooperation with other countries and regions in the agricultural park space will help the economic growth of the entire Samara region, which today ranks first in the development of public-private partnerships and is in the top 10 in terms of gross regional product in Russia.
During a pandemic, the Samara agro-park envisages compliance with all the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor.
