Sales of GM Uzbekistan in Russian falls by 59% in Russia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sales of automobiles of GM Uzbekistan in Russia fell by 59% year-on-year in January-April 2015 to 7,064 units, the statement of the Automobile Manufacturers Committee of the Association of European Businesses said.

According to the committee, the enterprise realized 1,683 automobiles in Russia in April 2015, which fell by 63% compared to April of 2014.

Share of GM Uzbekistan in Russian market made up 1.4% in January-April 2015 against 2.1% in the same period of 2014, the committee said.

In the reporting period, GM Uzbekistan claimed the 21st place on sales of automobiles in Russia. Daewoo Gentra of GM Uzbekistan entered to Top-25 bestsellers in the Russian market.

According the committee, Gentra claimed the 25th place in April. Dealers of GM Uzbekistan sold 1,245 cars of Gentra in April, which fell by 803 cars compared to April 2014.
